  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated

Method
 

Prepare the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss until evenly coated. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
