  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas
  • 2 cups Oil for frying
  • 1 cup Sour Cream for serving
  • 1 cup Salsa for serving

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until browned.
  2. Stir in the chili powder and mix well.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
  4. Place a portion of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  5. Roll the tortillas tightly to form chimichangas, folding in the sides to secure the filling.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry each chimichanga until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve with sour cream and salsa.
