Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon green onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Bowl Assembly
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1 cup spinach lightly blanched
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onion, and black pepper. Add the sliced beef and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
Assemble the Bowl
  1. In a bowl, place a serving of cooked rice. Top with stir-fried beef, carrots, cucumber, and spinach. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
