Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Seasoning
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh or thawed
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced Any color
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth Low sodium recommended
  • 1 cup cooked rice or pasta For serving

Method
 

Cooking the Shrimp
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Serve the Cajun shrimp over cooked rice or pasta.
