  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir gently to coat the blueberries evenly.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the blueberry mixture into a greased baking dish. Spoon the topping over the blueberries, spreading it evenly. Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
Serve
