Ice Cream Pie

Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
Filling
  • 2 pints ice cream your choice of flavors
Toppings
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings optional

Method
 

Prepare the Crust
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Refrigerate the crust for at least 30 minutes to set.
Fill the Pie
  1. Remove the crust from the refrigerator and fill it with your choice of ice cream, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  2. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
Serve
  1. Once the pie is firm, remove it from the freezer and top with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and chocolate shavings if desired.
  2. Slice and serve immediately.
