Ingredients
  

Raspberry Jam Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries washed and stems removed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 packet pectin optional for thicker jam

Method
 

Prepare the Raspberries
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the raspberries and lemon juice. Mash the raspberries gently with a wooden spoon to release their juices.
Cook the Jam
  1. Add the sugar to the saucepan and stir well. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil, stirring frequently.
  2. Once boiling, add the pectin if using, and continue to boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Jar the Jam
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the jam cool slightly. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, leaving some space at the top.
  2. Seal the jars with lids and let them cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.

Notes

For best results, use ripe raspberries. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or process in a water bath for longer shelf life.
