Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup water

Method
 

Prepare the Strawberries
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the strawberries to release their juices.
Blend the Mixture
  1. Add the macerated strawberries, lemon juice, and water to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
Churn the Sorbet
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Sorbet
  1. Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.
